The problem
The messages that
started everything
Working in the sports and activities space, our founder kept seeing the same thing — parents reaching out to providers, asking if there was any financial help available for their child. Most went unanswered. Not because nobody cared. Because nobody had built a way to help.
Working in sports, I saw these messages constantly — parents asking if there was any help with fees, camps, programs. Most went unanswered. Not because nobody cared. Because nobody had built a way to help.

These aren't hypothetical families. Here are two real messages sent to activity providers in Toronto:
Good evening, my son who is 9 years old, soon to be 10 in June, has been playing club soccer and is very interested to join the Real Madrid camp. I'm a single mom of 3 kids and unfortunately got laid off from work. I know how bad he wants to join the camp but unfortunately due to my current situation, I'm unable to enroll him. Could you please guide me to the person I can speak with if financial aid or assistance is offered?

We are a foster care / adoption family. We have a few kids who love soccer. Do you offer scholarships for foster care and adopted youth?

How it works
Simple, transparent,
and by design
01
A Wish is created
A parent, teacher, or neighbour creates a Wish for a specific child and a specific activity. Only the child's first name and age are shown publicly.
02
Donors fund it
Anyone can donate toward the Wish goal. Funds are held in escrow by Stripe — nothing moves until the full goal is reached.
03
Provider gets paid
When the goal is reached, payment goes directly to the verified activity provider's bank account. The family receives zero cash.
04
You hear back
Donors receive a personal update from the Wish creator after the activity. You see exactly where your money went.
WishFund is not a charity — and that's intentional.
Every dollar you give goes to one specific child, for one specific activity, paid directly to the verified provider. No general fund. No wondering where your money went. You see the child, you see the activity, you see the provider. When the goal is reached, the provider gets paid. That's it.
Donations are not tax deductible. We believe the direct impact speaks for itself.
💡 Your donation covers one specific child's activity — not a fraction of something bigger
Every child deserves a chance to thrive.
